Melton Family Acres

Project Brief

Per the requirements of our final semester capstone project, I had to reach out to a real or potential client for the future and design a space for them. My clients are not currently building but wanted to have some detailed plans and inspiration for when they do. Emily and Sam Melton wanted to embark on a journey to build their dream, forever home. I was delighted to help them through this process. They have an expanding family that needs lots of space and functionality. They have envisioned a house that seamlessly blends rustic charm with modern flair. With a fast-paced life like the Melton's have, the flow of space and easy access to every room was important. In addition to the spacious main house, they yearned for a rustic yet stylish 6-stall horse barn, where family adventures could unfold.
